Schippershuis

Everyone knows the song, but not everyone knows that the text is about the Schippershuis café in the port of Hoorn. Directly opposite the Hoofdtoren you will find the atmospheric, really Dutch café, where you can go for a drink with the typical Dutch snack ‘bitterballen’ or a complete dinner.

The extremely cozy café ensures that you will linger a little longer on the unique ship's bar than you intended, but you definitely have a great evening there. In the summer it is always busy on the sunny terrace and the view of the Hoofdtoren and the harbour is beautiful.
