Hoorn has six beautiful ports. Each port is accessible to passers-by and has its own facilities. Are you planning on visiting Hoorn by water? Then it is good to decide in advance in which port you want to moor, which facilities are available and how you contact the right harbour master. You can find all this information here. Hoorn has six ports:
The Binnenhaven
The Binnenhaven is close to the city centre of Hoorn and is managed by the municipality of Hoorn. You will find approximately 90 berths here. You can moor on either the city side or the park side of the harbour. Read more about the Binnenhaven here.
The Buitenhaven
The Buitenhaven is also managed by the municipality of Hoorn. The port has 35 berths, which are mainly used by charters and cruise ships. Read more about the Buitenhaven here.
The Grashaven
The Grashaven is large. With around 700 berths, its own port service and many facilities, the Grashaven is a popular mooring place for both permanent berth holders and passers-by. Read more about the Grashaven here.
The Karperskuyl
The Karperskuyl is a small but enjoyable harbour. The port can only be reached if the drawbridge "Otto’s Bridge" is picked up by the Water Sports Association and is therefore a less common port for passers-by. You will mainly find permanent moorings here. Read more about the Karperskuyl here.
Marina Kaap Hoorn
Marina Kaap Hoorn was built when the pressure on the harbours in the city centre increased. With 80 berths, its own port service and many facilities, Marina Kaap Hoorn is now a popular place for passers-by. An ideal haven for people that enjoy the outdoor life and water sports. WSV Hoorn
WSV Hoorn, also known as the Vluchthaven, is managed by Watersportvereniging Hoorn. You will find around 180 permanent moorings here, but there is also plenty of room for passers-by.
